An Abundant Existence

The Search for Abundance

The need for something "more" is common. Most often it is driven by an observation of all that is yet to arrive in our life. This is an easy observation for most of us, because we have practiced seeing what is lacking in life since childhood.
As a child, my friends had more toys than i did, and Saturday morning commercials presented a multitude of goods that were lacking from my possession. As i became older the latest fashions often remained unattainable, and the romance that so many were experiencing was often out of reach.
The older we become, the more practice we have at noticing exactly what is missing from our life. Feeling abundant becomes a dream to most of us. So why is it that our desires are so elusive? Because we have made them so.

Am i to believe that i am responsible for what's missing in my life?

The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. So the more we focus on what is missing, the more we will notice that things are missing. This might seem like a simplistic point of view, but that's because we have spent years believing that "there's not enough to go around". The thought of lack has existed for most of humanity for generations. For this reason it appears to be the rule rather than the exception. However, consider that generations of people once observed that the world is flat. It must have been difficult to see another point of view.
The energy behind our thoughts is a powerful tool in creating our day-to-day existence. Altering how we perceive our present situation can make all the difference.

How does this relate to Oneness?

Once we realize how abundant our life is, we will want others to know it too. As we become aware that there is plenty for everyone, we will want everyone to have plenty.
You see, creating a world where nobody goes without, begins with each of us. As the group consciousness grows with the experience of abundance, the experiences begin to spread. The more we share our newfound wealth with the world, the more wealth we receive to share with the world. As more people do the same, the closer we come to achieving the Utopian society that humankind deserves.
