Being One with the Creator
Enlightened people throughout history have tried to teach us of our unity with GOD. In the ancient east a young boy considered to be an Avatar, was approached by a group of people. They offered the boy a bribe - a fresh orange - if he could tell them where GOD is. Without hesitation he replied that he would give them two oranges, if they could show him where GOD was not.
Everything is GOD.

But i am more than just cells. How does that apply?
We are collectively linked to one another and to GOD in three ways:

How can i put this knowledge to use?
As previously mentioned, it's about practice. We need our thoughts to believe that we are all One with the Divine. We need to speak this truth in words. And, of course, how we act must express the perspective of unity.
Jesus taught us to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Seeing each other as part of the same body - as One and the same - is how we put Unity into action.
Spend the day seeing yourself in others.
For an entire day, pretend that each person you meet is yourself. How would you want someone to speak to you? If you're having a bad day, would you want others to show you compassion? Would you want a stranger to lend a hand or let you struggle by yourself? What tone of voice would you like to hear?
At the end of the day, observe how you feel. Think about what it would be like if everyone acted as you did today.
Thought, Word, and Deed
Thought:
We have seen that thoughts (and emotions) can affect the world around us. Dr. Masaru Emoto was once joined by a large group around a polluted water supply where they collectively prayed and meditated thoughts towards the water. Their thoughts of love and cleanliness produced results right before their eyes, as the dirty waters began to return to its original clarity!
Word:
There is more we can do to influence the energies around us. We can begin to verbally express our thoughts. Sound energy has long been seen as a gateway between our thoughts and the material realm. Vedanta chants, Wiccan rituals, and Christian prayer are all examples of this.
Furthermore, stating our intentions aloud, makes an idea more real. Suddenly the people around us will be expecting to see some evidence of what we are saying. Not to mention, the mind having heard the expressed words, will also feel obligated to produce some sort of results. And producing a result is part of the final step:
Deed:
Putting together some action aligned with our spoken thoughts is how we begin to materialize the issue into the physical world. If i think "I would like to help my elders somehow," then tell my friends and family, "I'm going to find a way to help the elders in the community," i would need to put the idea into motion. Perhaps i would research some information on the subject, or befriend some of the seniors in the neighborhood. Whatever the case, actions are the way to initiate anything we aim to manifest.

So exactly how is it that we see the Universe?
We see the Universe, each other, and all of existence in the same way we see GOD.
Pause for a second to consider this thought. What are some of the typical beliefs we have about our GOD? ( Here are a few: )
*GOD is a male.
*GOD has given us free will, but tests us with a series of laws.
*GOD is loving - unless you break His rules. Then He tortures you for all time.
*GOD is in a constant fight with a great evil, which is (almost) His equal.
*GOD expects humans to sign up with the correct religious membership. Everyone else will be tortured for all of time.
*GOD lives up in another realm away from humankind.( Feel free to think of some more beliefs... there are many! )
We observe the world through these beliefs. We interact with others based on these beliefs. How we view our relationship with GOD colours our reality.
Could I get some examples on this relationship?
*Men have received privileges that women were denied for thousands of years.
*Societies impose cookie-cutter laws that all must abide by.
*Punishments - many which have been very severe - are in place to control citizens through fear.
*Most of us believe that evil exists everywhere. It's inescapable and after us.
*We give our allegiance to different groups and compare ourselves as better than the next group, be it the sports team we belong to or the country we live in.
*We see ourselves as separate entities, existing near other people, yet apart from them.
How does this relate to Oneness?
You see, how we think, speak, and act affects our entire existence. How we see GOD paints how we think, what we say, and our daily actions. These energies affect the people around us, which in turn affect those around them. It is like a domino effect. The biggest tragedy today, is that we see our Creator as a separate, conniving, entity.
The perception of separateness is the paradigm of recent history.
The perception of separateness is what we are to change.
We are NOT separate from the Divine! The Divine and us are ONE!
